Credit and Collections Specialist

Join a global leader in imaging and business solutions! We are seeking a detail-oriented and professional Credit & Collections Specialist to join their Finance team.

In this role, you will manage a designated portfolio of commercial accounts, ensuring timely payment while maintaining the high standard of customer service Canon is known for. This is not a typical call center role; it requires research, reconciliation, and building relationships with business clients to resolve billing discrepancies and facilitate payment.

salary: $27 - $28 per hour

work hours: 8 AM - 4 PM

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor an assigned portfolio of B2B accounts, reviewing aging reports to identify past-due customers.
• Contact commercial customers via phone and email to secure payment status, negotiate payment plans, and resolve outstanding balances.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, short payments, and shipping errors by collaborating with Sales and Billing departments.

Qualifications & Skills

• 2+ years of Corporate/B2B Collections or Accounts Receivable experience is preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (ability to maintain professional relationships while being persistent).
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables) is highly desired. Experience with ERP systems (Oracle, SAP, etc.) is a plus.
