Job Title: Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location: Syracuse, NY

Job Type: Travel/Contract (13 Weeks)

Schedule:

• Shift: Day Shift – 3x12 Hours (7:00 AM – 7:30 PM)
• May include every other weekend and some holidays
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation:

• Hourly Rate: $77.35/hr
• Weekly Gross Pay: $3,094
• Weekly Stipend: $1,414

Position Overview:

A leading healthcare facility is seeking an experienced Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse to join their Adult Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have strong acute care experience and the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment with both adult and pediatric patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care in a high-acuity Emergency Department setting
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments and deliver timely interventions
• Manage care for both adult and pediatric patients
• Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary healthcare teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EMR systems (EPIC preferred)
• Deliver patient-centered care with minimal supervision after orientation
• Respond effectively in trauma and emergency situations

Requirements:

• Minimum 1.5 years of recent RN experience (within the last 2 years) in an acute care hospital
• Experience in Level 1 or Level 2 Trauma Centers preferred
• Experience with EPIC Electronic Medical Records preferred
• Strong clinical, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments

Certifications & Licensure:

• Active New York State RN License (Required)
• BLS Certification (Required)
