Centered around our custom-built clay ovens, flavorful, fresh-baked breads and extensive wine list featuring natural and organic Georgian wines, Chama Mama is committed to creating a unique, cultural dining experience where guests will immerse themselves in Georgian gastronomy and learn more about what this beautiful and rich-in-history country has to offer.

The Opportunity

Hosts are responsible for providing warm hospitality to guests, managing reservations and walk-in diners, helping to facilitate the flow of service throughout the night, assuming command of the reservation platforms in and maintaining a general command of the food and beverage menu. Hosts will work to provide impeccable hospitality to each of our guests, working specifically with each individual need to curate the best experience possible.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Has a strong working knowledge of Chama Mama’s reservations software and reservation policies.
• Encourages walk-ins and bar business.
• Helps coordinate large party reservations, private dining requests, or special circumstances with management.
• Greets guests and determines the best way that we can take care of them: seat reservations, send guests to the bar, maintain a waitlist when necessary, all while constantly communicating with the guests.
• Communicates all necessary guest information with the team to set everyone up for success (allergy alerts, VIPs, special requests, celebrations, etc.).
• Commits to passionate, intense, uncompromisingly humble hospitality and high-quality guest experience.

Requirements:

• Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.
• Exudes excellence in hospitality both for internal and external guests.
• Excellent time management, organizational skills, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in a variety of technology systems, particularly reservations software.
• The ability to define and effectively solve a variety of changing situations under stress; ability to adapt to changing circumstances.  
• Passion for exceptional hospitality, food, and beverages.
• Self-driven, results-oriented; ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
• Flexible work schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• High school diploma or GED preferred
