This Level 1 Trauma Hospital located in the Bronx, NY provides a broad range of inpatient clinical services and supports a comprehensive interventional radiology program. The facility maintains established protocols and the infrastructure necessary to accommodate locum tenens clinicians delivering on-site interventional radiology coverage. Clinical operations are supported by residents, fellows, and other physicians.

The Bronx is a borough with a distinct cultural identity, recognized as the birthplace of hip-hop, and offers access to a range of attractions including the Bronx Zoo and the New York Botanical Garden. Clinicians on assignment will find dining options that include the area's own Little Italy, as well as museums and cultural venues throughout the borough. Outdoor pursuits including hiking, biking, kayaking, and nature tours are also available across the region.

Clinicians will provide 100% on-site inpatient interventional radiology coverage during day shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM on a 7 on 7 off schedule, with weeknight call at a 1:3 ratio from 4:00 PM to 8:00 AM and weekend call responsibilities. Procedural responsibilities include minimally invasive, image-guided procedures utilizing fluoroscopy, ultrasound, CT, and MRI, as well as pre- and post-procedure consults and emergency IR procedures as needed. An expected volume of 8-10 procedures per day is anticipated, and clinical documentation is managed through Epic EMR. Board certification is required for this assignment.
