JOB TITLE: Custom Woodworker
DEPARTMENT: Custom
FLSA CLASSIFICATION : Non-exempt (hourly)
Position Summary: Complex shaping, assembly, curves and angle work, grid work, screens, product repair including onsite repair work, provide advice to sales and engineering.
Essential Functions:
- Perform department functions summarized above
- Responsible for quality of product
- Responsible for preventative maintenance when assigned by department leader
- Work overtime when required to meet customer delivery commitments
- Work in a safe manner and keep work area clean
Education and Experience:
- High School diploma or G.E.D is a plus.
- Previous work experience in the following areas:
- Shaping,
- Assembly,
- Pre-hang,
- Stopping in,
- Veneering

- Guillotine / Sheer Operation

- Fire Door Core Preparation

- Pressing of Fire Doors
- Pressing faces on Flush doors
- Veneer Repair
Pre-Hang Fitting
- Pre-Fit Jambs, Door Stop & Threshold
- Exterior / Interior Jamb Assembly
- Manual machine for Misc. Hardware
- Manual machine for Weather Stripping
Molding Application
- Exterior Glass & Molding (SG/PG)
- Exterior Panel & Molding (SG/PG)
- Interior Glass & Molding (SG/PG)
- Interior Panel & Molding (SG/PG)
- Cut, Cope & Apply SDL
- Curved/Irregular Molding Application
- Removal of Copes (Hand Routing)
- Install Mirrors (Black Die Molding)
