Location: Utica, NY 13502

Duration: 13 Weeks

Shift: 6:30 PM – 7:00 AM

Position Overview

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Emergency Department Registered Nurse (RN) for a 13-week travel assignment. This role requires a confident clinician who thrives in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment and is capable of delivering exceptional patient care across all age groups.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide rapid assessment, triage, and emergency care to patients with a wide range of acute and critical conditions
• Deliver patient-centered care for newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations
• Initiate and manage life-saving interventions including cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, medication administration, and airway management
• Respond effectively to medical emergencies such as stroke, sepsis, trauma, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Operate and monitor specialized emergency equipment (e.g., Rapid Infusor, Arctic Sun)
• Accurately document patient care using EPIC EMR system
• Participate in patient and family education regarding treatment plans and discharge instructions
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety protocols, and infection control standards
• Float to other units as required based on facility needs
• Serve in a charge nurse role when needed (highly preferred)

Requirements

• Minimum 2+ years of Emergency Department (ED) experience
• Pediatric (PEDS) experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required
• Valid driver’s license (address must match application details)
• Active New York RN license and all state licenses – NURSYS verification required

Certifications Required

• AHA ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• AHA BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• NIHSS (Stroke Certification)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) – Must be in hand at time of submission
