The full-time Data Specialist is a member of the EnCompass Data team that will support the Data and Evaluation Manager with data needs for various programs throughout the Encompass organization, including but not limited to, tracking and collecting data, data entry, data extraction and cleaning, and report making. The Data Specialist position requires attention to detail and accuracy.
Job Responsibilities:
- Track and collect data for EnCompass’ student and family-facing programs.
- Enter relevant data into the EnCompass database.
- Extract data from the database by downloading to Excel.
- Clean data by removing duplicate entries, correcting formatting, and adding appropriate filters.
- Create program-specific and organization-wide reports on a monthly basis.
- Collaborate with various programs to meet their unique data-related needs.
- Retrieve and report specific program data points upon request.

- Experience working with large data sets
- Experience writing formulas in Microsoft Excel
- Advanced operating knowledge of and experience with personal computers, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Google Sheets
- Deadline management and prioritization
- Organizational skills and attention to detail
- Critical thinking and problem solving skills
Qualifications:
- Minimum – High School Degree or equivalent, 1-2 years of relevant experience in data entry using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
- Preferred – Associate’s Degree, 3-4 years of relevant experience in data entry using Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets
Scheduling:
- Typical business hours
- On-site role; we don't offer a remote position.
Salary:
- $18.32- $23.23/hour based on experience
