Estimating Coordinator

Responsibilities:
- Assign unique project numbers for estimating jobs and maintain a clear tracking system.
- Update and manage the estimating calendar to ensure all deadlines and key milestones are accurately recorded and adjusted as needed.
- Create and organize estimating project folders with necessary bid documents.
- Download relevant project plans and extract specific sheets and details pertinent to the scope of work.
- Retrieve and highlight key bid specifications, including wage rates, security protocols, and access requirements.
- Draft proposals by inputting essential project details, including client information, and estimating takeoffs.
- Compile these proposals into a pre-defined template and send a detailed summary email to the estimator with the draft proposal, project location, wage rates, and any special considerations that may require additional quotes.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during bid follow-ups, both via phone and email.
- Maintain a professional and detailed record of communication, including bid status updates, client feedback, and project pricing. Document whether the project was awarded to DFB Sales or another company.
- Perform basic quantity takeoffs from project plans, including measurements of length, area, and counts.
- Ensure accuracy by cross-referencing takeoff results with specific plan details to confirm alignment with the project scope.
- Enter and update key project information in tracking sheets, ensuring all relevant data is captured.
- Regularly update an Excel-based company information file, used for pre-qualification packages, bidding contracts, and other related documentation.
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, in-office.Qualifications:
- An associate degree preferably in Finance or Business or 3 years of relevant experience.
Salary:
