Accounts Receivable Specialist
ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE SPECIALIST
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
HOURS: Part time (20-25 hours/week)
COMPENSATION: $20-23/hour
JOB SUMMARY: The Accounts Receivable Specialist executes the day-to-day activities associated with billing, cash receipts, and various other Accounting related tasks. This position is in office Monday-Friday. REPORTS TO: Controller ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Processes and applies incoming payments from clients to the appropriate account; maintains clients’ accounts with the company.
- Accepts and processes credit card payments.
- Enter billing for multiple clients.
- Works in tandem with the billing coordinators on reporting and resolving open receivable balances from billed invoices.
- Interfaces with clients to correct and/or clarify invoices and payments as needed; fields calls concerning billing disputes.
- Assists other finance staff with various functions such as required.
- Assist and interact with other divisions and perform other duties as directed.
- High School Diploma or general equivalency diploma (GED) required.
- 2+ years of progressive experience in Accounts Receivable and/or Billing required.
- Strong analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Strong written and verbal skills enabling effective communication with all levels of management.
- Strong organizational skills required to coordinate and manage across multiple organizations, processes, and initiatives.
- Proficient with Excel & Word
- Experience with multi-company billing and Timberline helpful but not required.
