Site Leader (Asphalt)

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanic Welder to join our clients team in Boston, NY. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in mechanical systems and welding, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to safety and quality. This role involves maintaining, repairing, and fabricating equipment and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform welding and mechanical repairs on various types of machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical issues and determine appropriate repair solutions.
• Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints to perform accurate welds and repairs.
• Ensure all welding and repairs meet industry standards and safety regulations.
• Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, ensuring all tools and equipment are stored properly.
• Conduct regular inspections and preventive maintenance on machinery and equipment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in welding or mechanics preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in MIG, TIG, and stick welding techniques.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and blueprints.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
