SUMMARY:

Rates: $17/hr - $22/hr depending on experience, and skills.

Shifts: Monday - Friday 9AM - 6PM, 1 hour lunch.

Job Description: Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Assisting one or more physicians with patient triage and vitals (manual blood pressure is used, not electronic cuffs), blood draw, CLIA-waived in-house lab testing, preparing vials and samples for lab collection and coordinating lab pick ups, preparing vaccines, performing EKGs, scheduling patients, collecting copays/fees, greeting patients upon entry, answering phones, verifying insurances/eligibility, updating doctors on EHR about patient status, and entering patient information and explaining office policies.

Education and Experience :

• Medical Assistant certificate and Phlebotomy certificate required, or LPN clinical program certification.
• High School Diploma Required
• 2+ Years of Experience as a Medical Assistant in a private practice

Qualifications and Skills :

• Excellent communication skills - both oral and written
• Positive attitude and a patient centric approach
• Ability to multi-task and work well in a team environment
