8:00 A.M – 4:00 P.M

Duties & Responsibilities

POSITION OVERVIEW: Under direct supervision of the Assistant Director, Purchasing, performs work of ordinary difficulty. Responsible for intake of items into the facility, and delivery of items/supplies to requisitioning departments.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: (List in order of importance to role and time spent on function)

• Assists in loading, unloading and storing supplies, equipment and/or tools at point of pick-up, delivery or distribution.
• Fills and distributes/transports requisitioned records, materials, supplies and equipment including but not limited to food stock, cleaning supplies, medical supplies and ground maintenance equipment.
• Verify delivered items against purchased orders, or packing slips. Ensuring items match. Report discrepancies to supervisor.
• Operate hydraulic loading dock, ensuring this is done according to established procedure and in a safe manner.
• Delivery of supplies to Central Stores
• Deliver supplies to requisitioning departments, ensuring signatures of requesting departments acknowledging that items are received and correct.
• Maintains control over tools and equipment. Keeps mechanical equipment in proper running order.
• Report to Supervisor problems with equipment and facility repairs
• Follow safety procedures and company policies at all times.
• Performs other related duties as required.

Minimum Qualifications

Ability to read and write English and to understand and carry out simple instructions.
