Responsibilities

• Research and determine the specifics of received payments, ensuring they are posted to the correct accounts.

• Reconcile and update customer receivables, maintaining an accurate record of outstanding invoices.

• Oversee collections, cash application, and customer service within the accounts receivable function.

• Supervise and provide direction to a team, fostering a motivated and efficient work environment.

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in an Accounts Receivable role, including collections, cash application, and customer service.

• 3+ years of supervisory or managerial experience overseeing a team.

• Strong analytical skills in managing collections and receivables.

• Proactive, go-getter attitude with the ability to work independently and take direction well.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with NetSuite.

• Travel industry experience.

• Proficiency in Excel.

• Experience in invoicing, billing, or collections.

Work Environment

Join a large corporate accounting team of over 60 professionals. This role reports to the Accounts Receivable Manager and operates in a friendly and business-casual environment. The company is experiencing growth due to acquisitions across multiple states, resulting in a high volume of workload. The position will be assessed for long-term need based on workload and business growth.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Melville, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $50.00/hr.
