Porter-Maintenance adjunct
Porter/Maintenance adjunct – Job DescriptionHours: 8:00am – 4:00 pm: Monday – Friday 1/2 hour lunch. Two 15 minute breaks. Overtime Snow Removal or when approved by management.
Overtime hours must be submitted to manager.
Maintaining Interior of Properties (Collegeview Tower & Apartments):
»Cleaning all Common Areas
»Dusting, Vacuuming, mopping, cleaning windows and glass, emptying all garbage cans, cleaning common area bathrooms.
»Garbage & Recyclables:
» 3 times a week, bring recyclables down to garbage room from each floor.
»Empty garbage can in the mezzanine
»Clean Garbage Room. Sweep & mop, clean out can if necessary.
Vacant Apartment Prep:
»Cleaning (appliances, cabinets, bathroom, Sliders, etc).
»Stripping/cleaning tile floor in bathroom to get grout clean
»Replace hardware as needed
»Clean up balcony – stain concrete if necessary. Paint railing if necessary.
»Notify leasing office when carpet is ready to be cleaned or if there is any additional work that needs to be done by maintenance staff.
Assist Maintenance as needed with Apartment Prep:
»Install Appliances
»Replace Toilet Seat(s)
»Caulk & Paint
Assist Maintenance with Maintenance Requests from Tenants (will train as needed):
»Plumbing (leaks, clogged pipes, etc)
»Some Electrical Work
»HVAC
»Miscellaneous Repairs around apartment
Miscellaneous Responsibilities:
»Snow Removal – Cleaning off vehicles, shoveling, salting sidewalks, etc.
»Landscaping as needed could include: weed removal, pick up trash, occasional mowing when needed, mulching as needed.
