Job Title: CT Technologist (Radiology/Cardiology) – Contract
Location: Potsdam, NY
Duration: 13 Weeks
Shift: Night Shift – 3x12 Hours (4:30 PM – 7:00 AM)
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
On-Call: Not required
Holidays: Not required
- Hourly Rate: $70.61/hr
- Weekly Gross: $2,541.96
- Weekly Stipend: $1,245.96
We are seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join a busy, full-service radiology department. This role primarily focuses on CT imaging while also supporting general radiography as needed. The department serves a diverse patient population, including inpatient, emergency, and outpatient cases in a community hospital setting.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform CT scans using appropriate protocols for high-quality diagnostic imaging
- Administer contrast media as per physician orders and safety guidelines
- Assist with general X-ray procedures when required
- Operate and maintain imaging equipment, ensuring proper functionality
- Manage and upload imaging data to PACS for radiologist interpretation
- Ensure accurate patient identification, positioning, and safety during procedures
- Provide imaging services across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards and departmental protocols
- Hospital-based Radiology Department
- Level III Trauma Center serving a broad patient population (newborn to geriatric)
- Community hospital environment
Experience:
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience required
- Experience in acute care, outpatient, and emergency department settings required
- Community hospital experience required
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program
Certifications & Licensure:
- ARRT Certification (Radiography & CT) – required
- State licensure (if applicable) – required
- Strong experience in CT imaging including:
- Abdomen, pelvis, chest, and head (with and without contrast)
- Vascular CTA studies
- Musculoskeletal, cervical, lumbar, thoracic imaging
- Experience with contrast preparation and administration
- Proficiency in PACS systems
- Ability to work in ICU and trauma settings
- Experience with Epic EMR system
- Experience with general X-ray procedures (extremities, spine, chest, GI, etc.)
- First-time travelers accepted
- Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (travel role)
- Strong adaptability in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and patient care skills
