Travel Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER)

Shift: 12H Evening (11:00 AM – 11:30 PM)
Contract Length: 16 Weeks (extension possible)

Weekly Pay:

$2,300 – $2,550 per week

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN) for a travel assignment at a busy 341-bed Level III Trauma hospital in Plattsburgh, NY. This is a fast-paced community Emergency Department with high patient volumes and dynamic acuity levels.

The ED includes:

• 29-bed Emergency Department

• 4-bed Behavioral Health Unit

• 7-bed Fast Track
  (All beds may swing to ER use)

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care to adult and pediatric patients

• Manage high patient ratios (1:5+ depending on census)

• Start IVs, perform EKGs, draw labs, and manage drips

• Administer respiratory treatments

• Manage boarded patients including M/S, LTC, Psych, and COVID

• Participate in charge responsibilities

• Utilize Epic EMR for documentation

• Collaborate with respiratory, pharmacy, crisis clinicians, and advanced practice providers

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• Active New York RN License (or proof of application at submission)

• Minimum 1 year of ER experience

• AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS required

• TNCC (active or proof of class prior to start)

• NIHSS certification

• Recent Epic experience (within past 2 years – required)

• Ability to work every other weekend and holidays
