Scientific Programmer/ Analyst

Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Scientific Programmer/ Analyst to join a large pharmaceutical client. This role will be 3 days on site in Tarrytown NY and 2 days remote. This candidate will be joining the research IT team and will work on general projects, integration pipelines, and emerging technologies. In this role, you'll build and deliver end-to-end solutions for high-performance application interfaces and enterprise-scale data pipelines around their mix of custom and commercial systems. You'll work on complex distributed systems, contribute to technical strategy, and develop solutions that enable research and support their drug development pipeline. A lot of this role will include Building and delivering enterprise-scale ETL solutions using JavaScript, Python, and AWS cloud services, developing sophisticated data pipelines and working on distributed systems end-to-end Working with technical leads and architects to implement the development, support, and performance optimization of complex systems. In this role you will Develop APIs and integration solutions for expanding services, building reliable APIs that enable efficient information access and integration and leverage AI-powered development tools to accelerate coding, testing, and deployment workflows, enhancing overall team productivity. Another key area will be collaborating as a technical partner with research project teams to understand complex requirements, translate them into technical solutions, and deliver systems that perform at scale. Pay is around 68-70/hr

Skills and Requirements

• 3+ years' experience building cloud native applications

-Hands on experience with Python and Javascript and Containerization tools such as Docker

-Experience and strong knowledge of working with AWS cloud services - i.e. Lambda, CloudFormation, Nitro Enclave

-Bachelors in Biology or background in biotech/ drug development
