HVAC Service Technician, FT, Frewsburg

COLBURNS is HIRING! We are an established company, serving the Chautauqua County, Cattaraugus County and Warren County areas since 1972. We are seeking a skilled Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems, mechanical knowledge, and 5 years of field service or installation experience. This role involves installing, maintaining, and repairing HVAC equipment across various property types, ensuring optimal indoor climate control and system efficiency. Candidates with experience in refrigeration, plumbing, boiler systems, and property maintenance are highly encouraged to apply. A valid drivers license is required for travel to job sites. Duties Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and HVAC design plans to accurately perform installations and repairs Conduct system diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and other electrical testing equipment Perform plumbing tasks related to HVAC systems, including pipe fitting and leak repairs Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards Assist with property maintenance tasks related to HVAC systems and general building operations Operate various tools and machinery safely during equipment repair or installation projects Qualifications Proven experience as a service technician in HVAC or related fields such as construction, appliance repair, or property maintenance Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and HVAC design plans Experience working with refrigeration systems is preferred Knowledge of plumbing, boiler operations, welding, and equipment repair techniques Familiarity with HVAC/R systems, air conditioning units, and mechanical components Ability to operate diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters effectively Valid drivers license with a clean driving record is required for field service travel Prior experience in field service environments is highly desirable Strong problem-solving skills combined with excellent communication abilities Universal Refrigeration License This position offers an opportunity to work on diverse projects within a dynamic environment while utilizing a broad skill set in HVAC technology.
