Position Summary

The Event Venue Porter is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and readiness of our multi-floor event venue before client occupancy and restoring it to excellent condition immediately following client use. This includes general cleaning, setup support, and the meticulous processing of in-house dish rentals. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work independently.

Key Responsibilities

Pre-Event Turnover

  • Venue Preparation: Perform detailed cleaning duties to ensure the space is pristine for client delivery, including dusting, wiping surfaces, and ensuring restrooms are fully stocked.
  • Rental Deliveries: Receive and properly store client or vendor rental deliveries as directed by the Operations Team.
  • Floor Plan Setup: When required on an event-by-event basis, assist the Operations Team with setting up the floor plan, including moving and arranging furniture, tables, and equipment according to specifications.

Post-Event Turnover

  • Post-Event Clean-Up: Conduct detailed and time-sensitive clean-up immediately after events to return the venue to its baseline rentable state.
  • Waste Management: Remove all event trash, replace liners, and ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
  • Restroom Reset: Thoroughly clean and sanitize all restrooms.
  • Floor Care: Sweep, mop, vacuum, and spot-clean carpets or flooring.
  • In-House Rental Processing: Wash and sanitize all rented plateware, glassware, and flatware. Return all cleaned items properly organized to the designated in-house rentals storage area.

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals and dish sanitizing procedures.
  • Report maintenance issues, damages, or safety hazards promptly to the operations team.
  • Maintain cleaning equipment in good working condition and report when supplies need restocking.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Proven experience in commercial cleaning or janitorial services, preferably within an event, hospitality, or high-end commercial setting.
  • Experience with commercial dishwashing/sanitizing and inventory organization is highly preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on the event schedule.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.
  • Strong attention to detail and a proactive work ethic.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S. as an Independent Contractor (1099). The contractor is responsible for their own taxes and insurance.

Responsabilidades Clave

Preparación Pre-Evento (Pre-Event Turnover)

  • Preparación del Lugar: Realizar tareas de limpieza detalladas para garantizar que el espacio esté impecable para la entrega al cliente, incluyendo desempolvar, limpiar superficies y asegurar que los baños estén completamente abastecidos.
  • Entrega de Alquileres: Recibir y almacenar adecuadamente las entregas de alquileres de clientes o proveedores según las indicaciones del Equipo de Operaciones.
  • Montaje del Plano: Cuando se requiera en cada evento, ayudar al Equipo de Operaciones a configurar el plano, incluyendo mover y organizar muebles, mesas y equipos de acuerdo con las especificaciones.

Preparación Post-Evento (Post-Event Turnover)

  • Limpieza Post-Evento: Llevar a cabo una limpieza detallada y urgente inmediatamente después de los eventos para devolver el lugar a su estado base de alquiler.
  • Manejo de Residuos: Retirar toda la basura del evento, reemplazar los revestimientos y asegurarse de que todos los residuos se eliminen correctamente.
  • Restablecimiento de Baños: Limpiar y desinfectar a fondo todos los baños.
  • Cuidado de Suelos: Barrer, trapear, aspirar y limpiar manchas en alfombras o pisos.
  • Procesamiento de Alquileres Internos: Lavar y desinfectar toda la vajilla, cristalería y cubiertos alquilados. Devolver todos los artículos limpios y correctamente organizados al área designada de almacenamiento de alquileres internos.

Seguridad y Cumplimiento

  • Seguir todas las regulaciones de salud y seguridad, incluido el manejo adecuado de productos químicos de limpieza y los procedimientos de desinfección de platos.
  • Informar rápidamente al equipo de operaciones sobre problemas de mantenimiento, daños o riesgos de seguridad.

Cualificaciones y Requisitos

  • Experiencia comprobada en limpieza comercial o servicios de conserjería, preferiblemente en un entorno de eventos, hostelería o comercial de alto nivel.
  • Se prefiere encarecidamente la experiencia con lavado/desinfección de vajilla comercial y organización de inventario.
  • Debe poder trabajar horarios flexibles, incluyendo noches, fines de semana y días festivos, según el calendario de eventos.
  • Capacidad para levantar hasta 50 libras (aprox. 23 kg) y estar de pie/caminar durante períodos prolongados.
  • Gran atención al detalle y una ética de trabajo proactiva.
