Job DescriptionExperience Design TechnologistPosition OverviewThe Experience Design Technologist will lead the development of intelligent, adaptive systems that transform how design teams operate within an AI-enabled product ecosystem. This hands-on role bridges design craft and engineering logic, focusing on prototyping, integrating, and scaling new capabilities across the organization. The architect will define workflows, build intelligent tools, and connect data across platforms to enable predictive, insight-driven design. This is a 12-month, 40 hour per week, remote role.Key ResponsibilitiesRedesign design-to-delivery workflows to integrate automation and intelligence.Prototype AI-assisted processes for design QA, accessibility, content creation, and portfolio planningCollaborate with Design Ops and Finance to link tools like Asana, Jira, Figma, and Workday into AI planning systems.Lead the concept and technical prototype of a centralized hub connecting customer intent, product telemetry, and design decisions.Define taxonomy, metadata, and data flows across XD, Research, and Product Analytics.Partner with AI Platform teams to visualize insights safely for design use.Collaborate with senior leadership to align system design, service blueprints, and experience data models.Develop intelligent pattern libraries that adapt based on usage and performance.Prototype AI copilots and plugins for daily design workflows.Coach cross-functional teams on AI-native practices and create scalable documentation.Work with leadership to develop a roadmap for automation maturity.Partner with executive offices to measure ROI and efficiency from automation pilots.Operate across Design, Product, Engineering, Data Science, and Finance.Translate technical capabilities into tangible design outcomes.QualificationsProven experience integrating AI/ML models and building workflow automations or plugins.Strong proficiency with modern product toolchains: Figma, Replit, Cursor, Jira, Confluence, Workday, and APIs.Minimum 10 years of experience blending design, engineering, and systems work (e.g., design technologist, systems designer, creative technologist, or principal IC).Fluency in JavaScript/TypeScript or Python for prototyping intelligent tools.Strategic thinking with the ability to visualize and communicate complex systems to executives.Comfort with ambiguity and a proactive approach to identifying leverage points for change.Experience leading design+AI integration at enterprise leading tech companies (Fortune 500)Background in building advanced internal design tooling or ML-powered systems preferred.In this position, you may have access to client or customer systems, confidential and/or proprietary information or data.BenefitsCreative Circle's Freelance Employee benefits package includes eligibility for Minimum Essential Coverage (MEC) medical plan, dental/vision/term life package, discount prescription program, critical illness, accident, tele-behavioral health, and 401(k) plan.
