Hiring Junior Accountant / Bookkeeper Job Description: The Bookkeeper will: + Record and maintain accurate financial transactions in Priority ERP and Excel. + Manage Accounts Payable, including invoice processing, vendor payments, and reconciliations. + Prepare and organize documentation for audit processes. + Monitor and maintain general ledger entries and ensure accuracy of financial data. + Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities. + Generate reports and provide financial data as requested by management. + Ensure compliance with internal controls and company policies. Essential Skills: + 1+ year of accounting experience. + Proficiency in Excel, including Pivot Tables and VLOOKUP. + Experience with ERP systems (Priority ERP preferred). + Accounts Payable experience. + Strong data entry skills. + Audit and audit preparation experience. + Month-end closing, journal entry, and general ledger experience. + Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. + Strong organizational skills. + Demonstrated high integrity character. Work Environment: + Training Period: 5 days onsite. + Starting January: 4 days onsite, 1 day WFH (Wednesday). + Office hours: 9:30 AM start. + Potential for additional hybrid flexibility. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of New York, NY. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
