About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with job.com to find a qualified House Supervisor RN in Montour Falls, New York, 14865!

• Supervise and coordinate patient care activities across the Emergency Department and Med/Surg units during assigned shifts.

• Serve as the on-site administrative and clinical leader during night hours.

• Provide hands-on nursing care as needed, including triage, assessment, and stabilization of patients ranging from infants to the elderly.

• Demonstrate competency in Stroke identification and management, STEMI identification and management, and emergency triage protocols.

• Ensure effective communication between the Emergency Department, inpatient units, physicians, and ancillary staff.

• Oversee hospital operations during off-hours and respond to emergencies, staff needs, and patient concerns.

• Maintain adherence to all regulatory, infection control, and safety policies.

• Mentor and support nursing staff, promoting teamwork and professional development.

• Collaborate with other clinical leaders to ensure quality metrics and patient satisfaction standards are met.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent clinical experience in emergency, critical care, or acute hospital settings.

• Prior experience as a charge nurse, clinical leader, or house supervisor strongly preferred.

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred).

• Current RN license in the state of New York (or compact eligible).

• BLS (Basic Life Support) – Required.

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) – Required.

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) – Preferred.

• NIHSS Certification – Preferred.

• Proficiency in triage and emergency management for all age groups.

• Strong critical thinking, leadership, and communication skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under pressure.

• Knowledge of Epic EMR and standard hospital documentation systems preferred.

• Capable of supporting Med/Surg units in a supervisory capacity as needed.
