Expanding business seeks a well-rounded Bookkeeper for this in - office role. Hauppauge area restaurant industry company needs an ERP & Excel savvy individual, ideally with Point of Sale experience, to round out a knowledgeable and established team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in transactional bookkeeping & accounting. Ability to navigate within multiple systems, portals, and software, as well as interest in managing a busy, and highly transactional workload necessary for this role. Responsibilities:
• Manage daily cash postings and reconciliations to ensure all transactions are accurately recorded.
• Hands-on with accounts payable processes, including vendor payments and invoice tracking.
• Perform bank reconciliations to verify financial accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
• Utilize Point of Sale (POS) systems to analyze sales data and integrate financial reporting.
• Prepare financial reports and summaries to assist in decision-making processes.
• Maintain organized financial records and documentation to support audits and compliance.
• Leverage Microsoft Excel to create detailed spreadsheets and analyze financial trends.
• Excel proficiency is necessary; experience with R365 is highly desirable
• Bank and account reconciliation experience
• Demonstrated expertise in accounts payable, payroll, and inventory
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems and their integration with financial operations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the ability to create and analyze complex spreadsheets
• Previous experience in the restaurant industry is highly preferred
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently
