Payroll Generalist
:
In this role, you will be responsible for enrolling new employees onto our company's payroll, recording contract terminations and other employee status changes, and calculating payment deductions due to time off. Under the supervision of our HR Manager, you will assist us in all stages of our payroll processing through each payment cycle, including gathering all information necessary to process payments in a manner compliant with our company policy.
To succeed in this role, you should have a solid knowledge of statistics and a good understanding of payroll- and tax-related national and international laws. You are also expected to be proficient in ADP payroll management, as well as a working knowledge of Intuitive, Lotus Notes, Outlook, Microsoft Word and Excel.
Payroll Generalist Responsibilities
- Enroll new employees onto our company's payroll, record any employee status changes, and calculate payment deductions due to time off
- Keep track of local and federal tax deductions, benefits contributions, and other factors that could impact our ability to process payments in an accurate and timely manner
- Gather all the necessary informationĀsuch as hours worked, benefits taken, and overtimeĀand process payments in a manner compliant with our company policy
- Cooperate with our accounting and compensation teams to make sure all payroll transactions are aligned with our budget policies
- Respond to employees' inquiries regarding their paychecks, including any questions on possible deductions, accruals, and other payroll-related information they may require
- Prepare reports for upper management, finance department etc.
- Responsible for payroll audits and payroll reporting
Payroll Generalist Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Payroll Generalist or in another administrative HR role
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Business Administration, Accounting or relevant field is a plus
- Superior knowledge of payroll-related laws and regulations
- Familiarity with payroll processing tools in ADP
- Strong time-management and multitasking abilities
- Excellent communication skills
