As an Unarmed Patrol Officer in a busy retail location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents while assisting shoppers, tenants, and staff. Pay Rate: $20.25 / Hour

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, shoppers, and visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating with site contacts and/or local responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout retail common areas, storefront perimeters, entrances, exits, loading areas, and parking locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or maintenance-related issues, and report conditions that could impact daily operations or the customer experience.
• Support opening and closing activities at the location, assist with crowd and line management during busy periods, and help to maintain an orderly environment for shoppers and staff.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a valid New York State Security Guard License.
• Have at least 6 months of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
