A national powerhouse MEP consulting engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer for its Boston or New York City office.

This role is for an experienced electrical designer who wants to work on technically demanding building projects, not repetitive production work. Projects span science and technology, mission critical, healthcare, higher education, and sophisticated commercial facilities where electrical systems are central to performance.

The role

You will work as part of an integrated MEP team designing building electrical systems from concept through construction. The focus is hands on design, coordination across disciplines, and collaboration with senior engineers.

Work includes:
• Power distribution, lighting, and life safety systems
• Electrical infrastructure for complex facilities
• Multidisciplinary coordination within an MEP environment

• 8+ years Electrical design experience in an MEP consulting environment
• Strong understanding of building electrical systems
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM workflows
• Familiarity with tools such as ETAP, SKM, CYME, or similar
• Degree, certification, or equivalent experience
