Responsibilities
- Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the CT scan, following department safety policies.
- Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging; prepare patients and explain procedures to promote comfort.
- Insert IVs when necessary for the test and position patients for CT scan, utilizing safe patient handling techniques.
- Perform CT imaging while adhering to protocol; ensure accuracy of imaging and safety measures.
- Maintain thorough documentation in the electronic health record (EPIC) and verify that images are correctly sent to the PACS system after each exam.
- Maintain a clean, safe scanning environment and assist with equipment readiness and routine maintenance as needed.

Requirements
- NYS license as Radiologic Technologist with injection therapy certification stated on the license at time of submission
- Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
- Certification: American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- Minimum 2 years of CT experience
- 1 Trauma Center experience
- Telemetry knowledge preferred
- Injection certification preferred and willingness to complete during orientation
- Knowledge of Philips and Siemens CT equipment preferred
- Local candidate within 30 miles of Rochester, NY preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital environment with effective communication and teamwork
