The Opportunity
Our partner is hiring a Sales professional to join their go-to-market team. This is a high-impact, consultative role—not a traditional transactional sales position. You will speak directly with founders and executive teams, guiding them through nuanced, high-stakes situations including wind-downs, acqui-hires, and emerging data offerings.
This role requires strong EQ, adaptability, and the ability to build trust quickly. You’ll help refine sales motions across new product lines, support both inbound and developing outbound efforts, and collaborate closely with leadership as the company scales.
Responsibilities
- Lead consultative sales conversations with founders and senior operators, often in a one-call-close environment.
- Understand and communicate the company’s multi-product offerings: startup wind-down support, acqui-hire facilitation, and data partnerships.
- Provide guidance and support to prospects even when they do not convert, ensuring a positive and empathetic experience.
- Support outbound initiatives for new product lines as needed.
- Partner with leadership to refine positioning, pitch materials, and sales process.
- Maintain accurate pipeline documentation and forecasting.
- Represent the company professionally and with empathy across all interactions.
Requirements
- 2+ years of sales or client-facing experience in a high-growth or consultative environment.
- Ability to build trust and credibility quickly with founders and executive-level partners.
- Strong communication skills, emotional intelligence, and a consultative mindset.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguity and adapting to evolving product offerings.
- Experience in SaaS, fintech, venture capital, or tech-enabled services is a strong plus.
- Understanding of startup operations, corporate structures, or venture ecosystems is advantageous.
- Ability to work onsite in New York; relocation support available for strong candidates.
- Open to H1B visa transfers for candidates already authorized to work in the U.S.
