Data Specialist
Key Responsibilities
- Process and record all types of donations (checks, EFTs, online, stock, third-party platforms).
- Reconcile donation data and manage matching gifts.
- Maintain donor records and respond to general inquiries.
- Monitor shared inboxes related to donations and data.
- Prepare recurring donation reports and donor lists for campaigns.
- Ensure data accuracy in Salesforce and assist with system clean-up.
- Support seasonal mail processing, acknowledgments, and tax receipts.
- Perform compliance tasks related to gift documentation and data privacy.
- Collaborate on data analysis, reporting, and process improvements.
Qualifications
- Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to handle confidential information.
- Experience with Salesforce, Excel, and standard office software.
- Comfortable learning new systems (e.g., Asana, Dropbox).
- Prior experience in a nonprofit or fundraising environment preferred.
- Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum four years of related work experience.
