Wedding and Event Coordinator

Located 15 minutes from Melbourne CBD, one of Melbourne's long-standing event spaces, is looking for a Full-time Sales & Marketing Coordinator
The venue has been running for 30 years with a long history of memorable and successful events. It boasts a floor plan large enough to hold from 50 to 600pax sit down dinners and up to 1000 pax for a Cocktail style event.
Key Areas of Management and Main Responsibilities
Event Management
- Sale of events to clients and converting sales via monthly targets whilst finding ways to on sell alternative dates or options.
- Innovate on sales practices, upselling and other to-market' strategies to improve sales.
- Maintaining and growing client relationships through regular check-in and follow up to ensure repeat business.
- Management of incoming enquiries via email and phone, providing accurate costed quotes and follow invoicing process.
- Follow up, respond, and negotiate with client and enquiries about bookings, viewing, functions and events.
- Coordination and attendance of venue viewings.
- Liaise with Food Service Team regarding menus and function packages.
- Responsible for keeping track of event revenue on a weekly basis
- Achieve individual KPIs set for specific targets
- Monitor competitor products, services and promotional activities
- Ensure that work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner
Marketing Management
- Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to increase brand awareness, generate leads, and support sales objectives.
- Create compelling content, including website updates, social media campaigns, and email marketing campaigns.
- Manage and optimize digital marketing channels, such as SEO, SEM, social media advertising, and display advertising.
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and customer insights.
- Track and analyze marketing metrics to assess campaign effectiveness.
- Monitor industry trends and make recommendations for continuous improvement and innovation.

Experience
3 years' experience in hospitality in management role. ( minimum )
and/or
Tertiary qualification (or currently studying) in a relevant discipline either Bachelor of Business Marketing, Business Communications and/or Events Management qualifications.
