PLT Plant 1 Curing Process Technician

Your tasks

The PLT Plant 1 Curing Process Technician will:

Control and monitor manufacturing processes and products. Assist in the industrialization of processes & products. Assist in the process efficiency and productivity. Assist in the reduction of scrap IV and ensure the proper handling of Over Cure anomalies.

Production / Quality / Efficiency Improvements

  • Ensures Productivity - Implement processes that produce efficiently to the required output and to specification.
  • Ensures Production Quality - Implement and maintain processes that produce products to required quality objectives.
  • Product allocation & cycle optimization.

Projects

  • Implement corrective actions for achieving stable and capable processes.
  • Support LEAN manufacturing principle implementation.
  • Process Capability and Efficiency improvement or stabilization.
  • Communicate to BT1 team regarding processes, trouble shoot issues, and carry out problem solving processes.
  • Complete projects and tasks that are assigned by the Department Manager
Agreements/Reports / Documentation

  • Process related documentation and performance reports, guidelines, charts.
  • Archived records, reports, surveys & justifications.
  • Implement specifications & Standard Operating Procedures and maintain.

Health, Safety & Housekeeping

  • Ensure compliance with all EHS policies & procedures
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices
  • Support 5S program
Recipe Management

  • Maintaining of recipes
  • Optimization of recipes
  • Documenting of recipes

Process Excellence

  • Implement and maintain capable, efficient and stable production processes that satisfy the Process Excellence objectives.
  • Process stability.
  • Implementation of process improvement.
  • Reduce process variation.
  • Direct corrective actions to reduce scrap.
Tasks

  • Follow POMS and Plant mandated procedures
  • Over cure closure proficiency
  • Curing monitoring systems
  • Using Continental manufacturing systems
  • PT 100 processes"
  • Ensure all ESH procedures, policies and legal requirements are implemented and monitored.

Perform other duties as directed by the PLT Curing Supervisor, Lead Supervisor, or Department Manager.

Your profile

Basic Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED and 1 year Continental Manufacturing experience or 2 years mechanical experience.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas now or in the future for this job posting.
  • No relocation assistance is offered for this position

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous manufacturing experience or Associates Degree

Environment

  • Safety is our highest priority and safety procedures/ guidelines must be always adhered to. This includes safety wear such as hearing protection and steel toe shoes.
  • New Hires will likely be placed on a shift that includes evenings and weekends.
  • The job is within a non-climate controlled environment where you will be exposed to temperature swings (hot/cold), forklift and pedestrian traffic, and noise. Majority of work completed in a high heat environment.

The role involves various physical tasks, including lifting, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, and operating machinery, with comprehensive training provided.

The starting annual salary for this role is $63,038 a year.
