Bartender

Position Overview:

The Cambria Hotel Lake Placid is seeking a skilled and customer-oriented Bartender to join our hospitality team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting and serving a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to our guests. Your primary goal will be to ensure exceptional service and satisfaction while maintaining a clean and organized bar area. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and a passion for delivering an outstanding guest experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve a diverse selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks, following established recipes and standards.
• Greet customers warmly, take drink orders, and provide attentive and friendly service to ensure a memorable experience for guests.
• Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of various drink recipes, ingredients, and proper garnishes to cater to guests' preferences and create custom beverages.
• Suggest specialized drinks, cocktails, and promotions to guests, encouraging upselling and enhancing their overall experience.
• Keep the bar area clean, organized, and well-stocked, including glasses, utensils, and necessary supplies.
• Adhere to all local, state, and federal alcohol service regulations, ensuring responsible alcohol consumption and age verification.
• Process guest payments accurately and handle cash transactions responsibly.
• Address and resolve any customer complaints or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Collaborate with other hotel staff to provide seamless service and contribute to a positive work environment.
• Comply with all health and safety standards and maintain cleanliness and hygiene in the bar area, ensuring the proper storage of beverages and supplies.
• Stay informed about new beverage trends, promotions, and menu changes to offer an up-to-date and engaging selection to guests.

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Previous bartending experience in a hotel, restaurant, or similar establishment is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in mixing drinks and knowledge of various alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
• Strong customer service skills with a friendly and approachable demeanor.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with guests and team members.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Keen eye for detail to ensure drink quality, presentation, and proper garnishing.
• Committed to upholding responsible alcohol service practices and age verification procedures.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
