Horns Instructor
Brooklyn United is seeking a skilled and energetic Drum Instructor to work with students in our afterschool and Saturday programs. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in percussion who can teach discipline, rhythm, and performance while building a high-energy, structured learning environment.
Schedule
- Afterschool Program: Monday – Friday | 2:30 PM – 7:30 PM
- Saturday Program: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM
Responsibilities
- Teach drumline fundamentals, rhythm, and technique
- Instruct students on snare, bass, tenor, and/or auxiliary percussion
- Prepare students for performances, competitions, and showcases
- Build discipline, timing, and teamwork within the group
- Maintain a structured and engaging rehearsal environment
- Track attendance and student development
- Collaborate with program staff and leadership
Requirements
- Experience in drumline, marching band, or percussion instruction
- Strong understanding of rhythm, timing, and performance structure
- Ability to manage and motivate groups of students
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Passion for youth development and performance arts
Compensation
- Salary is based on experience and skill level
