Market Data Engineer (TREP / RTDS / TIBCO)

Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Senior Market Data Engineer to support and enhance its real-time market data infrastructure within a front office trading environment. This role will focus on the administration, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of low-latency market data distribution platforms supporting trading and risk systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with TREP/RTDS/TIBCO technologies, Linux administration, and production support within enterprise market data environments.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain real-time market data platforms including TREP, RTDS, RMDS, and TIBCO-based messaging systems

• Monitor system health, performance, and data integrity across production trading environments

• Troubleshoot issues related to market data distribution, feed latency, messaging, and connectivity

• Configure and support TIBCO Rendezvous (RV) and related market data infrastructure components

• Work closely with trading, infrastructure, networking, and application support teams to ensure reliable market data delivery

• Perform incident response, root cause analysis, and platform performance tuning

• Support system upgrades, migrations, failover testing, and environment improvements

• Maintain operational documentation and follow change management procedures

• Participate in production support rotations as needed

Skills and Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with TREP / RMDS / Refinitiv market data platforms

• Experience supporting RTDS and/or TIBCO Rendezvous (RV) environments

• Background supporting real-time market data systems within trading or capital markets environments

• Strong Linux/Unix administration and scripting experience (Bash, Shell, Python, etc.)

• Understanding of low-latency messaging and data distribution concepts

• Experience troubleshooting production issues in high-availability environments

• Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with front office users and infrastructure teams - Experience with TREP components such as ADS or ADH

• Familiarity with Reuters/Refinitiv/LSEG infrastructure

• Exposure to multicast, TCP/IP, networking, or feed handler technologies

• Experience with monitoring tools such as Geneos, Grafana, or Splunk

• Prior experience in investment banking or front office trading support environments
