Endoscopy Technician (Endo Tech) – Contract
Location: New York, NY 10029
Pay: $50 – $55/hr (Local) – Based on Experience
Shift: Day | 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Schedule: 5 Days/Week | 40 Hours Weekly
Overview:
"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Endoscopy Technician to assist physicians and nursing staff during diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures. The role includes preparing procedure rooms, assisting during procedures, monitoring patients, managing specimens, maintaining equipment, and ensuring infection control and patient safety standards.
Responsibilities:
Assist with procedures including Upper Endoscopy, Colonoscopy, ERCP, Manometry, SpyGlass, Bravo, and 24-hour pH monitoring
Prepare and verify endoscopy equipment before procedures
Monitor and record patient vital signs and report abnormalities
Assist with specimen collection, documentation, and patient care support
Clean, disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic equipment per infection control guidelines
Maintain procedure supplies, inventory, and equipment logs
Support patient mobility, transport, and clinical unit operations
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED
BLS & ACLS certifications required
Minimum 2 years of Endoscopy Technician experience
Recent experience assisting with EGD, Colonoscopy, ERCP, and advanced endoscopy procedures
Strong knowledge of endoscopy equipment, sterilization, and patient monitoring in a fast-paced clinical environment.
