Our Pet Health Centers—comprising the Alex Lewyt Veterinary Medical Center, the Don and Karen LaRocca Pet Wellness Center, and the Freed Special Recovery Center—address all aspects of pet health, from prevention to treatment. Staffed by skilled and compassionate veterinary professionals, these facilities provide high quality, affordable care for animals in need. The Lewyt Medical Center, accredited by the prestigious American Animal Hospital Association (AAHA), provides comprehensive medical, diagnostic, surgical, and dental services. The LaRocca Wellness Center offers a full range of preventive care, including physical and aquatic therapy, acupuncture, and nutritional counseling. The Freed Special Recovery Center affords comfortable isolation for animals with contagious disease, ensuring a safe environment for all. Open to all pets, the Centers support our no-kill mission to Rescue, Nurture, Adopt, and Educate.

The Alex Lewyt Medical Center and Wellness Center are teams of highly skilled Technicians, Assistants, and Client Service Representatives and highly respected doctors. We are an AAHA accredited practice. As a forward thinking facilities, we keep up with the newest technology to meet the ever changing needs of our clients.

Ideal candidates must have the ability to work in a fast paced environment, work well with staff members, be detail oriented and have excellent communication skills. Our full-time LVT's enjoy a 10 hour/4 day or 8 hour/5 day workweek. Must be flexible to work additional hours when workload requires.

Experience a plus, but will train new graduates!

Requirements:
-NYS Veterinary Technician license, limited permit or currently enrolled in an AVMA school program.
-Must be proficient in all technical skills.
-Must be mature, responsible, energetic, and able to work well in a team atmosphere.
-Must be able to multi-task and perform in a fast paced environment.
-Ability to handle and control animals.
-Communicate with clients; provide support to families.
-Attend rounds and perform all other related duties as needed.
-Must love animals and fully support the mission of NSALA.
