We are a leading organization that supports a network of top-tier chess programs, serving over 10,000 students annually. Our teams consistently excel at City, State, and National levels.

This role includes working closely with a lead coach while supervising and picking up children for their designated class, snacking the children (peanut free), ensuring their safety at all times, constant engagement with students (chess play and relationship building), supporting the lead coach during the pick up portion through the dismissal (vigilance is key) with each child at the club.

• Opportunities to assist and lead in-person chess classes and lessons.
• Work in select after-school programs in Manhattan and Brooklyn.
• Part-time and full-time positions available
• Monday to Friday, approximately 2:15 PM - 5:15 PM (Approximately 3 hours)

• Experience working with children
• Affinity for strategic thinking
• Chess or Competitive gaming experience is highly preferred, but all levels are welcome to apply!

TA Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young children (e.g., summer camps, daycare, after-school programs)
• Passionate and high-energy approach to teaching

Chess Coaching Requirements:

• Previous experience working with young children (e.g., summer camps, daycare, after-school programs)
• Previous experience organizing lesson plans
• Previous experience leading groups of young children
• Previous experience teaching chess or playing chess
• USCF Rated Preferred
• Passionate and high-energy approach to teaching
