Analyst, Energy Management Commodities Procurement & Scheduling

Required Education/Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, Economics, Finance, Management, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field and 2 years full-time related work experience.

Relevant Work Experience

• Must be detail oriented, have strong analytical and computer skills (Microsoft Office products Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Required

• Must have the ability to make sound business decisions. Required

• One year of utility, energy industry or operational experience. Preferred

• Demonstrated experience coding in at least one of Python, SQL, or R. Preferred

• Preferred work experience includes:

• Power Generation, Steam Operations, Gas Control, Gas Engineering and/or System and Transmission Operations

• ISO-administered energy, capacity, TCCs, ISO Billing

• Physical and/or financial commodities trading.

• Purchasing natural gas and pipeline scheduling.

• Optimizing supply, pipeline and storage assets.

• Developing and troubleshooting worksheet applications and models, performing economic analysis, developing forecasts and conducting energy related research

• Energy Policy and Regulatory matters

• Contract administration (ISDA, EEI, NAESB)

Licenses and Certifications

• Driver's License Required

Physical Demands

• Sit or stand to answer a phone for the duration of the workday

• Sit or stand to use a keyboard, mouse, and computer for the duration of the workday

• Ability to stoop, bend, reach, and kneel throughout the workday

Additional Physical Demands

• The selected candidate will be assigned a System Emergency Assignment (i.e., an emergency response role) and will be expected to work non-business hours during emergencies, which may include nights, weekends, and holidays.

• Must be able and willing to travel within the Company service territory, and out of town business meetings, as needed.

• Must be available to work additional hours in order to meet project deadlines and respond to emergencies.

• In addition, the position provides off-duty coverage and a shift rotation, which requires carrying a designated on-call cell phone during off-hours, for seven days, on a four-week rotation (including weekends and holidays).
