Schedule: Monday – Friday
Pay Rate: $2,700/week
Shift Options:
6:30 AM – 2:20 PM
9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Hours per Week: 37.5
We are seeking a skilled MRI Technologist to join a leading medical imaging team in New York City. The successful candidate will be responsible for producing high-quality diagnostic images using MRI technology in accordance with established protocols. This role requires a commitment to patient care, strong anatomical knowledge, and technical expertise in MRI procedures.
Key Responsibilities:Perform MRI scans following departmental protocols and physician orders
Accurately position patients and imaging coils to obtain optimal images
Educate and guide patients through the MRI process to ensure comfort and safety
Review and assess MRI safety questionnaires prior to scanning
Label and transmit images promptly and correctly to PACS
Record and update patient information in IDX (Radiology Information System)
Maintain a clean and safe MRI suite at the beginning and end of each shift
Scan and upload relevant patient documents
Monitor and restock MRI supplies and accessories as needed
Schedule patient exams and manage related IDX entries
Report equipment issues and safety concerns to the appropriate personnel
Assist physicians with imaging procedures when required
Comply with infection control and safety standards
Attend required training, certifications, and departmental in-services
Perform administrative and clerical tasks as necessary
Ensure compliance with all regulatory and licensing standards
Graduate of an AMA/JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program
Valid New York State license in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology
ARRT certification in MRI (ARRT MRI registry – ARMIT not accepted )
BCLS certification
Strong knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and MR physics
Proficiency in MRI imaging techniques and safety procedures
Understanding of infection control practices
Minimum of 2 years of MRI Technologist experience
