Lead Software Engineer (CONTRACT) REMOTE

Broadridge is seeking an innovative Lead Software Engineer to join our dynamic technology team. Travel is limited and generally used for team learning and collaboration meetings. Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to analyze product requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Architect and implement scalable web applications using modern full stack technologies.
• Take ownership of end-to-end software delivery, ensuring code quality, maintainability, and best practices.
• Design and develop high-performance, reliable, and secure software using Java, Spring Boot, Python, and event-driven architectures with Kafka.
• Integrate solutions within AWS cloud infrastructure, applying best practices for cloud-native development.
• Guide and mentor team members, providing expertise in coding standards, code reviews, troubleshooting, and debugging.
• Develop and execute comprehensive unit tests, ensuring high coverage and predictable software behavior.
• Champion DevOps practices—automate CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Git, Jenkins, and Nexus.
• Participate in architectural discussions, design reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 10+ years of software development experience, with demonstrated leadership in complex software projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Java (Spring Boot), Python, and message-driven architectures (Kafka).
• Solid experience with RESTful web services and microservice design principles.
• Strong Mulesoft background
• Proven expertise in developing and deploying applications on AWS.
• Familiarity with modern frontend frameworks (Angular, React, or similar) is a plus.
• Strong grasp of relational and NoSQL databases.
• Deep understanding of DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and agile development methodologies.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and mentorship skills.
