School Nurse
TITLE: SCHOOL NURSE (Clinical Assistant) Civil Service: Non-CompetitiveFull time (10-month) (36.25/hrs/week) position; Affiliation: Non-Affiliated EmployeeCareer & Technical Education Department; Location: CTE, Powell Building
DUTIES:
- Work in a Certified Nurse Assisting classroom/clinical environment.
- Assist in training and evaluation of CNA and Home Health Aide high school student learners.
- Supervise students in adult care/hospital environment.
- Maintain all necessary records, & amp; adhere to all mandated services for student s I.E.P.s.
- Communicate regularly with community partners and CTE Staff
- Participate in staff meetings and professional Learning Communities, as well as all required professional development activities.
- Monitor and evaluate student performance and maintain all data.
- Ability to lift 40 pounds.
- Other duties as assigned.
RESIDENCY WAIVED
QUALIFICATIONS: New York State License and current registration to practice as a Registered Professional Nurse. Special Requirement: Possession of a valid license at time of appointment required. Must meet Civil Service requirements. Must also obtain appropriate Adult Ed Certification within 3 months of hire.
START DATE: August 27, 2025
SALARY RANGE: $46,675- $54,910 (10-Month position Salary Range) Excellent benefits are available.(Position works 7.25 hours/day 36.25 hours/week. Works 190 days, 10-month school calendar through the end of June. Position does not accrue additional vacation days.)
