Matcha Shop Manager

eabowl is a design-forward matcha bar in the West Village, created by the team behind Silence Please , a hi-fi listening studio in Lower Manhattan. Rooted in ritual, sound, and deep attention, Teabowl is where we hone our approach to matcha and craft beverages: care, precision, and intention are at the forefront.

We’re looking for a highly organized, hospitality-driven manager to lead daily operations at Teabowl. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in calm, detail-oriented environments and can balance leadership, hospitality, scheduling, training, and operational systems with care and consistency.

You’ll oversee the day-to-day flow of the space while helping shape the guest experience, team culture, and operational standards behind the brand.

• Lead daily operations of the café and maintain overall flow of service
• Create and manage weekly staff schedules
• Train and mentor baristas on matcha preparation, beverage quality, hospitality standards, and workflow
• Maintain consistency in drink preparation, presentation, cleanliness, and customer experience
• Oversee inventory management, ordering, restocking, and light purchasing coordination
• Ensure NYC DOH compliance and maintain operational standards at all times
• Help set the tone of the space daily (music, lighting, cleanliness, atmosphere)
• Support hiring, onboarding, and team development
• Handle customer issues professionally and thoughtfully
• Monitor labor efficiency and operational organization
• Assist with POS management, cash handling, and end-of-day reporting
• Coordinate occasional events, collaborations, and activations tied to Silence Please
• Work closely with ownership on operational improvements and team growth

• MUST have a strong passion for matcha, hospitality, and craft beverage culture
• 2–4+ years of café, hospitality, or restaurant management experience preferred
• Experience managing schedules, inventory systems, and small teams
• NYC Food Handler’s Certificate (required)
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Calm under pressure with strong attention to detail
• Ability to maintain high hospitality standards while managing operations
• Comfortable training and giving feedback to team members
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work weekends and occasional evenings
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 lbs
• Eligible to work in the United States
• Interest in design, sound, music, or ritual-driven hospitality is a strong plus
