This company is a New York-based apparel manufacturer specializing in licensed and branded clothing across multiple categories, supported by in‑house design and strong retail partnerships. It has grown steadily over decades, focusing on quality, trend‑driven products, and collaborations with major entertainment and lifestyle brands.
Job Description
Key Responsibilities Include:
- Handle day‑to‑day accounting tasks and ensure financial records are accurate.
- Prepare and review financial statements on a regular schedule.
- Oversee inventory tracking and work with production teams to keep counts and costs accurate.
- Manage chargebacks, investigate discrepancies, and help resolve retailer‑related issues.
- Oversee all types of insurance policies, including renewals, coverage needs, and claim support.
- Supervise accounts receivable, including invoicing, collections, and follow‑up with customers.
- Help improve financial processes and keep internal controls strong.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Deputy CFO should have:
- Bachelor's Degree; Advanced Degree preferred.
- Experience within a consumer goods environment, ideally with experience in fashion or apparel
- Strong financial and accounting skills, including familiarity with reconciliations, basic reporting, and day‑to‑day accounting tasks
- Experience with accounting or ERP software
- People management experience
- A hands-on leadership style

Compensation:
- $180,000-$260,000
