Science Teacher (Grades 7 and 8)

MIDDLE SCHOOL SCIENCE TEACHER NEEDED EFFECTIVE 1/5/26

7TH AND 8TH GRADES

8th Grade Life Science (Regents) 1 Section (Scientific Inquiry, Lab Practices, Cells, Homeostasis & Human Body Systems, Reproduction, Genetics, Evolution, and Ecology)

7th Grade NYS Science Curriculum 2 Sections (Matter, Acids/Bases, the periodic table, nonrenewable v. renewable resources, balancing chemical equations, chemical and physical changes.)

8th Grade Curriculum 1 Section Biology + Physical Science

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A bachelor’s degree or higher.
• A practicing Roman Catholic with a commitment to the mission of Catholic education.
• The teacher must faithfully always represent the teachings of the Church in their entirety.
• Valid New York State Teacher Certification.
• Student teaching experience or its equivalent.

Salary range: $40,000 to $74,000 based on years of experience and education.(Pro-rate for part-time).
