Position Title: Registered Nurse – Medical / Surgical

Location: Utica, NY

Employment Type: Travel / Contract

Job Summary:
Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult medical-surgical patients in a fast-paced inpatient hospital environment while ensuring high-quality patient care and accurate clinical documentation.

Requirements:

• Active New York RN License required
• Minimum 2 years recent Medical/Surgical nursing experience required
• Previous travel experience required
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Skills checklist matching specialty required
• NURSYS verification required for all active RN licenses
• Driver’s license must match candidate demographics
• RTO must be included at time of submission
• Local candidates accepted (within 75 miles at local rate)

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct patient care for medical-surgical patients
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans
• Administer medications and treatments as ordered
• Monitor patient conditions and report changes promptly
• Document all patient care accurately within EPIC EMR
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams
• Educate patients and families regarding treatments and discharge planning
• Maintain patient safety and infection control standards
• Support admissions, discharges, and patient transfers as needed
