Genius Gems Chelsea Senior Associate Position

Genius Gems Chelsea LLC (www.geniusgems.com) is a STEM-based experience for kids and adults opening in Chelsea (NYC) in late 2022. We offer a fast-paced, exciting environment where employees can, if they choose, pursue additional opportunities that interest them, such as engineering and design, robotics and coding, social media, marketing or community events.

We are seeking enthusiastic Senior Associates to join our growing team of 20+ innovative professionals. We are seeking in-person leaders and teachers.

Genius Gems Chelsea - Senior Associate Position

• Lead our weekday and/or weekend STEM experience. 
• Guide families through our general admission experience, creating building projects out of magnetic tiles, testing out our robots, making slime and more. 
• Lead weekend birthday celebrations. 
• Train other team members in the Genius Gems experience, STEM classes and weekend events. 
• Gather materials and test out new project ideas. 
• Test out our robots and assist in reviewing new materials.
• Learn how to use our 3D printers. 
• Lead our team to ensure our space is tidy, materials are prepared materials at all times. 
• Lead the team in opening, and/ or closing the space each day, ensuring our space is prepared at all times for our customers. 
• Assist customers and other staff members in answering any questions or resolving any issues that may arise. 
• Communicate with the COO and the CEO as needed.
• Perform additional tasks as needed.

Job type: part-time, on-site at 555 6th Avenue, New York, NY 10011

Transport: we are one block from the NJ Path Train stop; and just a short walk from the following subway stops: 14th Street (F, M, 1, 2, 3) and Union Square (L, N, Q, R, W, 4, 5, 6) and the A, C trains on 8th Avenue

Reports to: Chief Operating Officer

Academic Credit: Interns only, upon request & with university permission.

Compensation: Yes, competitive and commensurate with experience.
