5WPR is excited to announce our 2026 Finance Summer Internship Program !

Designed as a hands-on introduction to finance and business operations within a fast-paced agency environment, this program is ideal for students eager to gain real-world experience supporting the financial operations of a top independent, full-service agency in New York City. This internship offers valuable exposure to how finance supports client service, growth, and day-to-day agency operations.

We’re looking for detail-oriented, analytical, and motivated students who are ready to learn and contribute from day one. Throughout the summer, interns will gain practical finance experience while working closely with our finance and operations teams.

Overview & Responsibilities

As a Finance Intern at 5WPR, you’ll support the agency’s finance and accounting functions and collaborate with teams across the organization. Responsibilities may include:

• Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable processes


• Support invoice creation, tracking, and reconciliation


• Help prepare expense reports and review employee reimbursements


• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting


• Support month-end close activities and basic journal entries


• Maintain and organize financial records and documentation


• Assist with vendor setup and management


• Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and insights


• Support ad hoc financial projects and operational initiatives


• Collaborate cross-functionally to understand how finance supports client accounts and agency operations

What We’re Looking For

• Current students pursuing an undergraduate degree (Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field preferred)


• Strong interest in finance, accounting, or business operations


• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills


• Analytical mindset with comfort working in spreadsheets


• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets preferred


• Strong written and verbal communication skills


• Proactive, dependable, and eager to learn in a fast-paced environment

Compensation & Details

• Paid internship


• Anticipated hourly rate: $18–$20/hour


• Hybrid, part-time role with on-site work in our NYC office


• Program dates: June 8 – August 13, 2026
