Employer: Hudson River Trading LLCAddress: 3 World Trade Center, New York, NY 10007 Description: Hudson River Trading LLC seeks a Data Engineer to: Write tools to classify, onboard, and reconcile data and onboard datasets using Airflow, explore data, and automate tasks using a modern Python data stack (25%). Develop and test architectures that enable data extraction and transformation for predictive or prescriptive financial modeling (10%). Perform data engineering, reconciliations, validation, and quality checks, as well as identify and develop new processes within the data request process to enrich data (5%). Utilize Python and SQL programming to develop scalable data storage and distribution systems for advanced research, statistical, and data analysis (5%). Evaluate, parse, enhance, and normalize data by performing initial quantitative analysis to assess suitability of data under trail and develop pipelines to automate processes (25%). Compile and, analyze and provide internal teams with alternative datasets and market and financial data used to develop influential business and trading strategies across all asset classes, enhance the data workflows around existing datasets for more productive research, and normalize key data metrics across multiple data vendors and delivery platforms (30%). Qualifications: Position requires a Bachelors degree (U.S. or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Financial Engineering, or a closely related field, plus two (2) years of experience in the position offered, or as a Software Engineer, or related experience. All required experience must have included: Experience performing data reconciliations, validations, and quality checks using Python. Experience automating tasks to enhance Real Time Data (RTD) efficiency, data cleaning, debugging data issues using Python. Experience debugging code issues using data and stack trace analysis. Experience producing high-quality ingestible data for downstream users. Experience optimizing distributed systems using Python.
