Job Overview:
This role encompasses leading and managing global Talent Strategy projects across all employee types as well as the Human Capital ‘Chief of Staff’ function which includes communications, budgeting, and other internal projects. The responsibilities are:
Work with senior business and HC leaders, and the CPO (Chief People Officer) to ensure we attract, retain, and develop our talent and deliver compelling value propositions to all our colleagues
Support CPO decision-making, including working with the CPO to shape and facilitate implementation of HC’s global strategy and the vision for HC, including organizational structure and staff changes
Lead efforts at improving organizational effectiveness of HC, e.g.,
Refine strategy and operating model
Improve cost and efficiency
Improve client satisfaction and function effectiveness
Help drive cross-regional collaboration / “shared consciousness” within the HC function
Lead HC’s annual strategic planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes and keep on top of how well we track against it
Ensure successful and engaging communication within HC and from HC to the rest of the firm
Engage in special talent projects as necessary, including working with Marsh
Key Responsibilities:
Work with CPO, other HC leaders, and business leaders to determine key People needs and develop a compelling People Strategy, delivering programs as needed
Provide thought leadership for developing overall Talent Strategy and CVP elements
Oversee talent-related special projects for OW, e.g., improving work-life quality, crafting the firm’s togetherness approach
Oversee successful running of business-as-usual processes for talent programs (e.g., kudOWs, MilestOWnes, OWBalance, Golden Passport), factoring in practical operating considerations and seeking to optimize processes wherever possible to maximize efficiency whilst still delivering an appropriate level of service to the business
Lead HC’s annual strategic budgeting planning process as well as tracking budget throughout the year, making mid-year adjustments as necessary and leading the forecasting process. This includes HC headcount, staff costs, and other costs
Review annual survey data from Marsh engagement survey to share back with HCLT and discuss overarching implications, in partnership with Talent Analytics team
Support CPO decision-making around sensitive/confidential issues and succession planning
Ensure the HC Leadership Team is functioning and is well connected, e.g., through facilitating effective HC leadership calls/meetings as well as all hands calls and communications
Support the CPO in organizing, shaping the agenda, and facilitating the annual HC Leadership Team offsite
Coordinate GLT HC OpCo meetings, including planning and distributing agendas and after-meeting take-aways
Represent and voice HC’s priorities on various working groups and internal forums, e.g. All-Systems-Go calls
Ensure HC’s communications strategy within the function and to all OW staff is successful
Lead efforts aimed at improving HC, working with CPO and COO when appropriate, e.g. refine strategy, operating model, and organization structure; tune to ensure global consistency vs. local adaptability of key processes
Reduce low value-add activities and ensure tasks are performed by the appropriate teams to drive economies of scale / expertise
Manage a team of permanent and/or rotational staff as required, effectively guiding and developing the team
Act as the point of connection with Marsh on relevant topics
Experience Required:
Bachelor's degree
Significant experience in Human Capital with broad exposure across a number of different functions, ideally within a consulting firm
Ability to turn around well-formulated decks, as well as be able to quickly manipulate data and information are a must (including strong excel/modelling skills)
Expertise in organizational effectiveness and operational improvement
Proven track record of successful project management in a fast-paced, professional services environment and ability to solve complex problems
Experience managing, understanding, balancing, and satisfying numerous stakeholders at different levels in the organization; ability to influence consensus and/or get stakeholder comfortable with direction of travel
Proven ability to successfully manage and develop a global team
Familiarity with our HC ecosystem, key processes, and systems is preferred
Mastery of Microsoft Office (Word/Outlook/Excel/PowerPoint)
Skills and Attributes

Willing to travel occasionally and to have variable work hours
The applicable base salary range for this role is $155,000 to $220,000.
The base pay offered will be determined on factors such as experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and any applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis. In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
