Assignment Details

• Duration: 9 Weeks

• Schedule: 5 days per week

• Hours: 35 hours per week

• Shift: Night Shift | 12:00 AM – 8:00 AM

Compensation

• Weekly Gross: $2,905

• W2 (Taxable): $18/hour

• Weekly Stipend (Non-Taxable): $2,289

Position Overview

A hospital in Elmhurst, NY is seeking an experienced Ultrasound Technologist (RDMS Registered) for a 9-week night-shift contract. The technologist will perform high-quality diagnostic ultrasound examinations while maintaining patient safety, comfort, and compliance with imaging standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform general diagnostic ultrasound examinations according to established protocols.

• Prepare patients for procedures and explain exams to ensure comfort and cooperation.

• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment in a safe and effective manner.

• Accurately document imaging procedures and patient information in the EMR/PACS system.

• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure timely diagnostic results.

• Maintain infection control, radiation safety, and hospital compliance standards.

• Support departmental workflow during overnight operations.

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of General Ultrasound experience

• RDMS (ARDMS) certification – Required

• BLS certification preferred

• Strong communication and patient-care skills

• Ability to work independently on overnight shifts in an acute care environment
